Great view, great refreshments, unfortunately no service currently during covid

Very nice hut with good food and a beautiful view. Just the thing after a short but steep climb.

Very nice place for a stopover on the tour through the Ammergau Alps on bus and bed days. Great area.

A great excursion destination, very nice for hiking, to linger and to eat very well.

Eating well in the huts you can cook well ... prices are not adjusted to quality

Nice hut, and delicious food. Were there for breakfast. The scrambled eggs with bacon and the Kaiserschmarrn are delicious. Especially the scrambled eggs.

Not the most promising hut but easy to reach even with a dog. This is the second time I've eaten the Kaiserschmarn. First tried with someone and the second time your own portion. Unfortunately, I find it pretty naughty. The portion was big.

Unfortunately the food wasn't really convincing. The ham noodles were very fatty and not seasoned. And under a Kaiserschmarrn, I also imagine something else. Unfortunately, the hygiene concept when ordering and at the tables wasn't really good either. All of this together would not attract me to a second visit.

You just have to have ridden the mountain railway, an experience. Hut is cozy, delicious food.

We had an amazing time here! Drinks and food were good! That was the first time on the slope ride!! It was AMAZING! Husband and I were able to see the deer below... it was beautiful! Rather breathtaking!

The cyclist was good, but the friendliness of the service has some catching up to do. No matter how stressful the day was, ordering plums with beer is not possible. One more star for the cyclist.

Great excursion location. It's relatively easy to get up on foot, even for the inexperienced, as you need a little bit of stamina It is easier with the chair lift, approx. 20 minutes, great view above, especially if you continue to the rear Hörnle. The Alm is professionally managed, everything is delicious, fast and the Leits are very friendly However, due to the popularity of the place, depending on the weather, you should expect an increased number of people 😉

Great to have a hut after such a nice hike. 2 stars for the beer. Kaiserschmarrn was the worst I ever had. Like fried egg, with almost no flour. And how can you prepare this in (old?) oil and not with butter? I wouldn't have been surprised to find some french fries hidden in there.

A wonderful mountain hut and a very good Kaiserschmarrn. Staff very friendly. Process very well coordinated - the host / staff have the rush of guests under control ..... and a very good espresso ... from a roastery in Murnau

Quite well attended on Sunday despite the fog and rain clouds. We were lucky to get a free table immediately and also with the self-service, drinks at the counter, order food if the table number was given, then we served, everything went smoothly. Without exception, all employees were friendly. The prices are absolutely within the framework. The menu is small but sufficient. Note: It is an Alpine Club hut. Not a star restaurant. Those who expect something different should go to the "Bairischer Ballermann" Schliersbergalm. A clear recommendation from us for the right hiker.

Great hospitality and good portions! Only the number of wasps in the evening was a bit disturbing, but the hut can't do anything about that. We'd love to come back!

I ate the Kaiserschmarren with my family, which is already fatty anyway, and then apparently was fried. In addition, it was not sprinkled with powdered sugar but with "normal" sugar. In the evening we had stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, etc. Was very ugly ... Unfortunately, that cannot tear the great location and the breathtaking view ...

Really good except that they don't take credit cards or any cards in general. Cash only. The food was good and the apple strudel was delicious. I recommend having a pause there if you take the hörnlebergbahn (cable car) from Bad Kohlgrub to go on top.

Very nice view. Really good food for a mountain hut. Best kasspatzen in a long time. Schnitzel also great! We would love to come back.

Directly 3 minutes from the chair lift. Great view with a cozy hut. Kaiserschmarrn delicious.

Very nice area up there and very pleasant to hike. The hut is clean and well maintained. The Corona hygiene rules are very well observed and lived here. Tables are disinfected every time. There are enough ballpoint pens for the lists and they are disinfected.

Great view from the hut. Kaiserschmarrn didn't suit my taste. Tasted more like egg. Maybe you'd rather have a snack. The hut has a large outdoor area with lots of parasols. A trip to the hut is worthwhile.

The Hörnlihütte is located on the lower foothills of the Hörnligrat of the Matterhorn; it serves as a base for most summit aspirants before climbing the Matterhorn. The first Hörnli hut was built in 1880 and had 17 beds. It has been expanded and rebuilt several times since then. The Hörnli hut now has 130 seats and is open from July to September You can reach the hut by trekking there, it is absolutely awesome (medium hiking level) with different routes. Please check before to go.

Nice hike, takes about 90 mins to reach top. Has very beautiful view of alps around.

This is one of the hidden gems in the Bavarian Alps. Accessible via chair lift, hike or ski touring in winter, this place is open all year round. Nice biergarten, breathtaking views. Fine place to rest, but quite iritating mountain prize for beer. But it's now on every tourist areas ...
